How to Determine Your Purpose For Creating A Wellness Home
When you are starting to plan a renovation or new home build, the very first step is to understand what you want to achieve with your renovation or new build and why. Determining your purpose will help guide the design and give you a clear path to a successful finished product.
Whether you are remodeling a bathroom or building a new home, understanding your purpose for doing so will be your beacon throughout the design and construction process, preventing you from heading off course. The last thing you want is to go over budget or end up with a finished product that doesn’t make you happy.
To find out how to determine your wellness renovation or new home purpose, watch the video below. Don't forget to download the 3-Step Guide that goes along with the video. This video is part of a series I do on Facebook Live, called Design It WELL. You can watch my live videos every Thursday at 2pm est to learn all about health and wellness focused homes.
The Three-Step Guide:
In the video, I mention that there are three steps to determining your wellness home design purpose. I have created a free guide to walk you through each of the three steps.
I did this as a downloadable guide because I list out a lot of questions that I want you to be asking yourself and your family as you are working on determining your purpose. You can easily download the guide and have the three steps and all the questions available to you at any time.
Determining your purpose for your renovation or new build is the most crucial first step you can take, so don't rush it! Give yourself at least a week to observe your home, answer the questions and write your purpose statement.
Once you have your questions answered and your statement written, you will be able to share this information with your architect or builder, giving everyone on the team a clear vision of your goals.
